We’re wrapping up 2014 with a social and networking event kindly hosted by The Sherriff Centre, with wine provided by Brooksby Wines. Come and hear what we’ve been up to over the past 12 months, and what we have in mind for next year. There’ll also be a talk on what the Sherriff Centre and Post Office can offer local businesss and the opportunity to renew your membership or sign up. Venue: Hampstead Cricket Club
Surveyor Philip Waldman and local property solicitor Jeremy Manuel talked about rent reviews and rate appeals, before actress Imelda Staunton talked about the Hampstead Cricket Club, which celebrates its 150th birthday next year. WHBA committee member Reuben Miller from Alexanders estate agent, gave a brief summary of the WHBA’s achievements so far this year and plans for the next six months. After the talking was the eating – a delicious barbecue on the clubhouse terrace, kindly provided by Kilburn & District Housing.

Leo Hollis, author of Cities Are Good For You, and local resident, talked about the relationship between high streets and communities, and the WHBA committee set out its stall for what it wants to achieve in the short and long term, and the many benefits of joining the business association.
